Douce nuit, sainte nuit!
Dans les cieux ! L'astre luit.
Le mystère annoncé s'accomplit
Cet enfant sur la paille endormi,
C'est l'amour infini!
C'est l'amour infini!

Saint enfant, doux agneau!
Qu'il est grand! Qu'il est beau!
Entendez résonner les pipeaux
Des bergers conduisant leurs troupeaux
Vers son humble berceau!
Vers son humble berceau

C'est vers nous qu'il accourt,
En un don sans retour!
De ce monde ignorant de l'amour,
Où commence aujourd'hui son séjour,
Qu'il soit Roi pour toujours!

English

Silent night, holy night
All is calm all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heav'nly hosts sing Alleluia;
Christ the Savior is born
Christ the Savior is born

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hochheilige Paar.
Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar,
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Halleluja,
Tönt es laut von fern und nah:
Christ, der Retter ist da!
Christ, der Retter ist da!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb' aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da uns schlägt die rettende Stund'.

Christ, in deiner Geburt!
Christ, in deiner Geburt!

Tu disceso a scontare l’error, Tu sol nato a parlare d’amor,
luce dona alle genti, pace infondi nei cuor!
Luce dona alle genti, pace infondi nei cuor!.

GRAMMAR P32,33

If I have to choose one film, I will pick ‘Out of Africa’
If you ask me about my favourite film, I’ll tell you that…
If you feel like going to the cinema and you don’t know which one to choose, I can give you some suggestions…
Are you eager to go to the cinema and don’t know which film to see?

Are your children bored at home?
Do they fancy going to see a good film?
If the answer is yes, you should go and see ‘Toy Story 4’, because it’s good fun, and you and your children are going to have a great time in the cinema.
Besides,
Apart from that, on Wednesdays the cinema is a bit cheaper and so you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Also, you can take some sandwiches from home and that’s good to save money.
To finish with
In a word,
To sum up, I must see this film because it’s worth the price you pay and your children are going to say ‘Thank you, daddy’. You can’t miss it!!!

SUGGEST/RECOMMEND + VP-ING
SUGGEST/RECOMMEND + NP
SUGGEST/RECOMMEND + THAT + SENTENCE (SVO)
I SUGGEST YOU TO GO
I recommend going to the cinema
I recommend that we go the cinema
I recommend the new restaurant

RECOMMENDING FILMS

- Have you seen ...?

Have you seen the latest film by S.Spielberg?

You must see it. It's great

You should see it. You will like it

It's about...

But honestly, you can't miss it.

It's on 2 Mares until next week. So, come on, hurry up. Otherwise, you'll miss it

likely
used as an adjective
Likely is usually used as an adjective. You say, for example, that something is likely to happen.
These services are likely to be available to us all before long.

You can also say that it is likely that something will happen.
It is likely that there will be a major use of coal to make oil.

used as an adverb
In conversation, likely is sometimes used as an adverb with `most', `more than', or `very' in front of it, or as part of the phrase `more likely than not'. You do not use it as an adverb on its own.
One pupil will have been taught, most likely, by five people.
More than likely they have only so many rooms on allocation.
More likely than not he will realize he is beaten.

Is it OK if + SVO?
Is it OK if we take something to nibble?

some extra ideas for a short story

a short story

I still remember that time when I had some hopes that Real Madrid was a possible winner of the Spanish league.
So there was this fantastic match on TV, Barça-Real Madrid, and I was excited about it. I usually like watching matches like these in pubs.
So, I arranged to meet my friends in a pub called ‘Trastero’, just a bit before the match. I remember

I was wearing jeans with a stripy T-shirt (USE ADJECTIVES TO ‘DECORATE’ YOUR DESCRIPTIONS)
